NORTHERN COLORADO SUMMERS CAN BE BRUTAL! As Northern Colorado’s trusted A/C installation experts, we know what it takes to size and install the right air conditioning system to maximize the cooling in your home. We start with analysis of your current system and identify potential problems with ducts or system design that might make cooling your home less efficient than it could otherwise be. That being said, we aren’t going to install a new cooling unit into a poorly designed A/C system that is already in place. Not only can a badly planned air conditioning installation cause unnecessary strain on the new cooling system, but it can also have a direct effect on your energy bill, where inefficient A/C systems can be extraordinarily costly to run. That’s where Long Heating and Air come in!
A NEW A/C UNIT SAVES YOU MONEY From home cooling efficiency to the amount of electricity being drawn from modern high-efficiency cooling systems, home owners will have genuine savings from their new A/C install. Let our pro service teams take the guesswork out of your new A/C system install. PROFESSIONAL PLANNING While the square footage of your home is essential to calculate how large your A/C unit should be, the shape of your home and the rooms within it can have as much or more of an effect on how effectively this new system cools your house. We have tools and know-how to assess your existing ductwork. Sometimes modifications in the routing of the air makes all the difference.

SERVICE LIST FOR AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLATION

We are Northern Colorado home A/C installation experts. But there is more to a new cooling system install than plugging in the new unit and removing the old air conditioner. Below is a list of our processes that ensure your new A/C will keep you and your family cool during the summer months, and last for years to come.
1. CONDENSER PAD We will level and even replace your air conditioning condenser pad if there is already one in place. This pad must be level to ensure proper compressor function.
2. EVAPORATOR COIL We replace the evaporator coil with your new A/C installation. This is used to ensure condensation can’t accumulate and ruin the hardware.
3. A/C UNIT INSTALL We use top-quality air conditioners, and we have decades of experience installing new home cooling systems. But installation of the hardware isn’t the end of the process.
4. INSTALL TO MANUFACTURER SPECS We use the manufacturer’s stringent guide lines to install your new A/C to promote longevity and efficiency. We don’t cut corners!
5. PRESSURE TEST LINES We verify the health of your system lines by testing the A/C lines under standard load. Any pressure or leak issues are identified.
6. VACUUM REFRIGERANT During any home A/C install, we vacuum out all refrigerant in the lines to ensure that no condensables or air are in the refrigerant lines. Having these substances in refrigerant lines can cause premature breakdowns.
7. RECHARGE REFRIGERANT Getting an accuraterefrigerant charge ensures that the new air conditioner unit will work to cool your home optimally.
8. ADJUST BLOWER SPEED Under or over-powering the blower motor can have adverse effects on both your level of comfort and your A/C efficiency. We check and adjust as needed.
9. SEAL DUCTWORK Making sure your ductwork has a perfect seal with any A/Cinstallation is part of our process.
10. USED A/C REMOVAL When installing a new A/C system, we always remove and recycle the old unit for you, as a convenience, with no additional charge.
